About Transtest

The Transtest calibration laboratory was established in 1998 and within 12 months was awarded the coveted Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) ISO 17025 accreditation for electrical measurement, both in our laboratory and on our client’s premises. Rapid expansion followed and our current scope of accreditation has now expanded to cover electrical, temperature, pressure and vacuum calibration within the aerospace, automotive, medical, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, utilities, marine, food production and clinical engineering industries.

Our specialist expertise coupled with our professional approach ensures that our experienced team excel at the provision of calibration services. A strong quality focused company culture underpinned by honest trust and integrity enables us to consistently deliver a premium and reliable service.

Butler Group

Transtest is a division of the Butler Group. Established in 1998, it is a privately owned company with offices and an accredited laboratory located in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

Our History

The Transtest calibration laboratory was established in 1998 and within 12 months was awarded the coveted INAB (ISO 17025) accreditation for electrical measurement both in our laboratory and on our client’s premises. We continued to extend both the width and depth of accredited electrical measurements and in 2002 due to the continued expansion of the business, the company moved to a purpose built facility in Maynooth. Temperature and pressure accreditation followed (laboratory and site), providing the best possible offering to the industry. In 2005, the company was acquired by the Butler Group.

The Butler Group consists of 4 dedicated divisions:

Engineering Services:
Provides engineering services including testing, project management and training.

Instrumentation:
Provides a broad range of test instrumentation.

Components:
Supply barcode systems, safety related equipment, labelling solutions and battery products.

Calibration: (Transtest)
Provides an ISO 17025 INAB accredited calibration service both on-site and off-site and engineering services.
