Butler Transtest is Recruiting a Calibration Technician (Electronics)

At Butler Transtest we are currently recruiting for the role of Calibration Technician within our Calibration Division, in conjunction with JobBridge, the new National Internship Scheme. Butler Transtest is looking for an intern for a nine month period to gain experience in its accredited calibration laboratory in Maynooth Business Campus.

The Butler Group was established in 1997 to provide Components, Test and Measurement and Engineering Solutions to the Electronics and Communications industry in Ireland and Internationally. The Group acquired Transtest Equipment Ltd in 2005 to provide on-site Calibration to INAB Accredited Standards, in compliance with the international standards ISO/IEC 17025:2005 2nd edition.

The applicant can hope to gain the following:

- Experience working in an accredited laboratory environment.
- Experience and work with a wide range of instrumentation products.
- Knowledge and experience of modern calibration methodologies.

We are looking for an intern with some of these requirements:

- Third Level Qualification (Diploma in Electronics or similar)
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Willing to travel and work away from home
- Ability to work on their own initiative
