Quality Accreditation

Transtest is proud to be accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) to undertake calibration in compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The company was first accredited by INAB (www.inab.ie) as a provider of Electrical calibration services in 1999 and this was followed by Temperature (2004) and pressure (2008).

INAB is the national body responsible for accreditation in accordance with the relevant International Standards Organisation (ISO). INAB’s co-operation with other accreditation bodies globally through Multilateral Agreements means that certificates issued by INAB accredited organisations are recognised internationally.


As part of our ongoing accreditation to ISO 17025, all of Trantest’s technical and quality systems are audited annually by INAB assessors.

Quality Control

Transtest employs a full time Quality Control Manager to govern the laboratory’s quality control systems and procedures. We are committed to ensuring that all staff involved in operating specific equipment, calibration, evaluation of results and signing of certificates are competent and possess the necessary skills and training to perform their assigned duties. Minimum skill levels, relevant experience and educational requirements are assigned to tasks and responsibilities.

We recognise that on-going training and development of personnel underpins the quality of services provided to our customers. As such, a goal of 5 days training per year is in place for all technical staff, in order to satisfy current and future requirements. Only training material from recognised sources or universally accepted methodologies are used.
